    TRAINEE PROGRAMME

    The KOD/Lyons trainee programme is designed to help trainees acquire all the skills and knowledge necessary to become first class lawyers. Trainees benefit from extensive hands on experience in a variety of areas. Our trainees undertake responsible work with direct client contact. With a wide range of departments, each headed by a specialist in their field, KOD/Lyons is in a position to offer one-to-one mentoring to trainees in their area of interest. Our trainees are encouraged to participate in our in-house training and CPD.

    At KOD/Lyons we have a dedicated Trainee Mentor who will engage in periodic reviews to monitor the progress and goals of each individual trainee.

    When recruiting trainees, we look for candidates who:

    - Are confident and capable of acting on their own initiative;
    - Have a record of academic achievement;
    - Have excellent people skills;
    - Have demonstrated an interest in criminal and public interest law.

    We provide study leave for FE1s and are compliant with Law Society regulations on terms and conditions for trainees.
